Ballad Portal
The project “Ballad Portal” intends to take up cultural impulses coming from narratives in verse. Ballads tell stories about people who are foreigners in their own home countries, distanced from their environments or on the run – even if their fleeing ends up in the escape to their own inner self or in defeat. From the ballads of the 19th to the songs of protest of the 20th century the individual’s ‘own’ and individuality are perceived with new eyes.
